Sweetz
I was in my bed knocked out, when all of a sudden my phone rang. "Hello." I answered groggily. "Sweetz..." The voice of Smooth traveled through my phone and pierced my heart. Just from the tone of his voice, I knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong babe?" I asked concerned. "We need to talk…I'm downstairs." Smooth replied, disregarding my question. Without another word said, I jumped out my bed, and headed downstairs to the kitchen. Waiting for me at the backdoor was Smooth. It was pouring rain, but I could still see the tears strolling down his face. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the kitchen. We sat at the table for about five minutes in silence until he spoke.
"M-M-Mike is dead." "What?" I replied in shock. "He got killed…They gutted him like a fish…You should have seen it Sweetz, it was blood everywhere… On the seats, over the dashboard. Blood…Was everywhere." Smooth stammered.
I grabbed his hand over the table, and as much as I tried to fight it, all I could do was cry. Why would anyone kill Mike? He was the sweetest boy I ever met. He was like everyone's little brother. Not only did Krazy and I take him in as our little brother, the whole community did.
"Who would do this to Mike?" I asked astonished. "I don't know…But I'm going to find that nigga and kill him…Just like he killed Mike." Smooth yelled in anger, while he jumped up and headed to the door.
"Smooth, where are you going?" I interjected. "I'm going to find the bitch that killed my brother!" He snapped. I ran in front of the door to stop him from leaving. "No Smooth!" "Move Sweetz!" Smooth commanded. "No…I'm not letting you go out there and do something stupid babe. You don't even know who did this to him, and I'm not letting you kill an innocent man out of anger Smooth. I love you too much to let you do that baby." I explained, while tears cascaded down my face.
This man just doesn't know how much I love him. If he wanted, he could have killed me on the spot for trying to stop him, but his love for me was so deep, that he would only allow me to stop him from getting his revenge. Knowing Smooth, no one can stop him from doing anything he is determined to do, not even his own grandma!
Interrupting my thoughts, Smooth stared into my eyes, dropped down to his knees and did something I never seen him do. He began to cry. I knew that this was hard on him. Mike was not only his little brother, he was his heart. I dropped down on my knees and held Smooth in my arms, while he cried on my shoulder. "It's all my fault." Smooth repeated over and over again. "No it's not Smooth." I opposed. "Yes it is!" Smooth snorted. He pulled away from me and looked into my eyes. "I told him that
